Blog by tmax: Moving On Up! Making a Big Move Fun, Organized, and Budget-Friendly

Hey, friends and supporters!

Big news—I'm moving into a bigger space! This isn’t just any move; it’s an upgrade to something new, fresh, and exciting for me and everyone supporting my journey.

Moving can feel overwhelming, but it can be fun and memorable with a little organization, creativity, and help from friends (and maybe your mom!).

Here’s how I’m doing it—and how you can, too—while keeping things organized, safe, and budget-friendly!

Step 1: Organize Your Move on a Moving Form

Before touching a box, I created a Moving Form to keep things in check. This form lists everything that needs to be done:

What gets packed first?

Which boxes contain delicate items?

Equipment that needs special care.
Planning means fewer headaches later and helps you stay on top of everything!

Step 2: Pack Smart, Pack Safe

Start with things you don’t need every day—seasonal decor, display items, and anything you won’t miss for a week. When it comes to fragile items, extra caution is key. Use bubble wrap, packing paper, and secure boxes to keep your creations, tools, and supplies safe during the move.

Step 3: Protect Your Equipment

All your equipment is the lifeblood of your business, so pack it in secure, labeled boxes. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself later when you can easily find your Cricut Maker without digging through a mountain of boxes!

Step 4: Furniture—Buy New or Refresh the Old?

If new furniture isn’t in your budget (it wasn’t mine!), consider giving your existing pieces a fresh look. I painted all my furniture, and it cost only $114. The best part? Now, everything matches my brand colors, making the new studio feel like an extension of my website. It’s a simple, affordable upgrade that makes a big difference!

Step 5: Call in the Reinforcements

Moving is easier—and way more fun—when you’ve got help. Call your friends, get your family involved, and don’t forget to invite your mom to add that extra special touch. Ensure you’re stocked on water and energy snacks to keep everyone fueled!

Step 6: Take Your Time

Don’t rush. Moving too quickly increases the risk of damaging something important (or sentimental). It’s better to go slow and steady. Remember, this move is about building something new and exciting—there is no need to stress!

Step 7: Celebrate Your New Beginning

Once you’re settled, it’s time to plan a Grand Opening Day Celebration—live on Facebook! I’ll show off my new space, give a behind-the-scenes look at how everything came together, and kick off a new chapter for my business. I can’t wait to share it with all of you!

Moving is a big deal and an opportunity to reset, refresh, and get excited about what’s next. I’m ready to make this new space my own and continue creating with all of you.

Stay tuned for updates—and don’t forget to mark your calendars for the Grand Opening Celebration!

Until next time, keep creating and keep smiling!
